Notice of postponement of the African Football Legends’ Charity/peace match

The game in Nigeria is still in April and the SA game still in May just additional weeks

The first leg of the AFFL game which was slated for April 8 and may 6 in Nigeria and South Africa respectively has been shifted to 29th April and May 27  respectively.

According to the SG of the AFFL -Moo Muhammed Mustaphar, he says

“I was directed to forward to you this official adjustment regarding the game legends united initially scheduled for 8th of April in Nigeria and 6th of May In South Africa.
The new dates for the games now are 29th of April in Nigeria and 27th of May in South Africa.
1, The Local Organizing Committee and Coordinator of both teams required little more time to be able to work on logistics and finalized with some sponsors and host.
2, To be able to finalize with Super Sports and other media organizations to have enough publicity of sponsors’ products.
3, To give the game immense publicity starting from this week.
4, May 27 is end of the season and this will enable more concentration and support from both participating legends,Stake holders and publicity crew.
5, The date 29th of April is a good date as there wont be any big European/PSL nor Champions league game that will distract spectators nor participants and that will enable massive turnout.
On our quest to organize the biggest legends game and first ever Back to Back legends game we solicit to all our Participating legends,Sponsors,Stake Holders and Media to understand and work towards the new date as detailed above.
The Protocol team will start working on Visa of invited persons from end of March for the Nigeria game.
We sincerely apologize any inconveniences this might have caused all our participating legends to please forgive us.
Further More we are glad to confirm the acceptance of Patrick Mboma and we have 47 out of 50 participating legends for the Legend united game.”
