KHF 2016 World Heart Day celebration

The 2016 World Heart Day Celebration was done in a grand style as the KHF founder- Nwankwo Kanu(Papilo) graced the event with his friends in a 3 km walk.

The 3 km walk took off from Mitv ground around 8:00 am on Saturday 29 September,2016. Papilo took the lead accompanied by his friends like AY(the great comedian), CEO of Oracle Experience and CEO of both Dakinda Football for every Home and Alliance in motion Global , Youth Corpers, Inspire Nurses of Nigeria, Students, KHF beneficiaries and other individuals. The walk stretches from Mitv ground via Awolowo Way to Computer village, Ikeja and back to Mitv premises.

The 3 km walk was aimed at creating awareness about the monstrous cardiovascular disease and bringing the attention of the government to the need to establish a well equipped Specialist hospital in the country in other to alleviate the luxury of carrying out heart surgery abroad.

After the 3 km walk, participants were screened free of charge by the Inspire Nurses of Nigeria.

The turnout of the event was really amazing and the awareness of the cardiovascular diseases was achieved.
