2009-11-23 - KANU SUPPORT IN UK'S CHANNEL 4 TV DOCUMENTARY
As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Nwankwo Kanu has been called upon to support, and raise awareness to many issues both in the United Kingdom and Africa.
Last night saw the organisation Stepping Stones, revisit the plight of some African children in a channel 4 documentary, Return to Africa's witch children, highlighting the aftermath of the revelation of the labelling and condeming of children as witches through mislead practices.
Nwankwo Kanu visited the centre set up for these children and saw first hand how Stepping Stones, has given back traumatised children their childhood back, and also the work done in reuniting them with their parents and returning them to an educational environment.
A repeat of the programme will be shown again on Friday 27th November 2009 at 2:00 am (GMT) on Channel 4 but can be watched on the channel 4 on demand's website
